The Issues

Responsible Government Spending / Lower Taxes

Minnesota had a historic $17.6 billion surplus. The Democrat controlled government not only spent that in its entirety, but also raised taxes that cut into Minnesota families’ hard earned money during a time of major inflation. I will work for lower taxes and more responsible state spending.

Prioritizing Family Budgets

I will fight to make sure families get to decide how to spend their money, not politicians in St. Paul. That means keeping more of the money you earn and putting it toward what your family needs like food and gas, both of which have become ridiculously expensive under single-party DFL control.

Public Safety

Crime is way too high in the Metro area. We need to support and rebuild law enforcement and work with our police force to invest in higher training and higher wages to retain our qualified officers. We need to hold violent criminals accountable with new sentencing guidelines that fit the crime. Ultimately, Minnesotans deserve to live in the state without worrying about becoming a victim, and I’ll deliver that with support for law enforcement and more accountability for those who commit crime.

Protecting our senior citizens

Our seniors deserve quality care. Current laws and mandates are creating worker shortages, causing nursing homes to shut down and leaving our seniors stranded. We need to work to fix these issues by finding ways to retain workers and keep costs affordable, especially considering the residents live on fixed incomes. That includes plans such as eliminating the tax on Social Security benefits.

Education and school safety

Parental involvement is both important for our children’s education and our community. I will fight for the right of parents to have more involvement and understanding on what is in their childrens’ curriculum. More so, our students deserve a safe place to learn. We need to partner with our local law enforcement and ensure our schools are safe for teachers and students.

Charities / Nonprofits

Recent legislation has attacked the abilities of charities and nonprofits to effectively invest in their local communities. As your legislator, I will fight for nonprofits and the good they do for their communities.
